My first organ recital will be on July 25 at 5:00pm, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Stamford, NJ.
This is far from the first time I have been at St. John's. In January 2020 I was learning from Nathan as the intern during my Winter Term project. And I returned in late May as well, which was, incidentally, the first time I played in a church service since I last played at St. John's in January 2020.
I am infinitely grateful to Nathan Lively who has shown endless generosity to me in all the time I have had the pleasure to know him. I could not have picked a better place for my recital than at St. John's. The Richards, Fowkes & Co. Opus 5 is exactly what I envision a historically-authentic baroque organ to sound like.
This venue and organ is the perfect choice for my favorite style of music to play, and I am hoping that I will do the organ and the music justice and breathe new life into the music I play.
